Don't Make Dinner During A Tornado!!!

Rachel and I are still getting used to living in the South!

Yesterday evening we were in the kitchen making our fabulously delicious Tuna Noodle Casserole when it happened…the tornado warning siren went off!! We had to turn off the stove and dash into our “safe” place, the hall closet! Flashlight in one hand and Sophie in the other, we squeezed in there. About ten minutes later we were able to come out, and the sirens were silent. So we started cooking and it happened again!! Oh no, the hall closet was too small and VERY claustrophobic, so we moved into the guest room closet (much better!). Well, the siren went off a total of three times, and we did finally get dinner made. And thank the Lord, there were no tornadoes that touched down! I guess we’re broken in now and have become pros, WE KNOW THE DRILL!!

I was able to get some new things posted in my Etsy shop this afternoon, including this toile apron…

Hope ya'll had an UNEVENTFUL and SAFE weekend! I know that I much prefer quiet, calm weekends!

Hugs, Victoria Lynn

And after all that, the tuna casserole was still fabulous. Poor Pride & Prejudice, though. It will have to wait for another Saturday.

Love,
Rach

P.S. No the fax machine is not the tornado alarm!

WILD AND WOOLEY WEATHER! That was weird to have gone through that with you while we were talking on the phone, hearing your siren and the blow by blow! So thankful that nothing came of it...

Love your new aprons, the pink ruffled one is just darling, and the yellow, and the toile, love everything you make! It is so tempting, that I have to really hold myself back from buying these too.

Love your new profile picture, your hair looks marvelous! Curly, who knew??

Love you BFF!

That is the only thing I dislike about Spring - Severe weather threats are to common. I have not made tuna casserole in years. Think I have all the ingredients, so may have to make one in the near future.:)
Thanks for visiting. We dodged the bullet this time and did not get the severe weather, but did get lots of rain.

Hi Victoria:
So glad you and Rachel and the animals are safe. I've never lived anywhere that had warning signals. I think that would be pretty scary. and the closet? I couldn't stay in there very long. But I guess you have to do whatever it takes to stay safe.
Glad your tuna cassarole was able to be finished and enjoyed.
The apron is cute. And I agree with Donna Lynn, about your profile picture. Very sexy and cute!!!

Oh Boy what an experience that must be. At least you get a warning. Here in CA, we don't get a siren for earthquakes, they only happen afterwards if something collapses. Well at least you got to finish your dinner.

Great apron.

Thanks so much for your sweet words of encouragement and prayers. You will never know how much they mean to me right now..I have had some rough days lately!

Come on over when you can to see the finished pictures I got of all of my cleaning. I have some left to do..but got the majority of it done. Sigh.....
