Where Women Create...
I love the book "Where Women Create". My BFF Donna Lynn recently turned a bedroom into her studio. We both have been inspired by this book and numerous magazines showing our favorite artist's studios. Donna's room is turning out beautifully and she inspired me to take a second look at my studio! Needless to say, I didn't like what I saw! So I decided to get inspired and do something about it!! After painting/detailing my sewing machine cabinet, I got busy sewing! I started with a new ironing board cover (boy, did I need a new one! My old one was sooo disgusting!) and then I made a cover for my sewing machine followed by recovering my sleeve board (a mini ironing board). Thank you Donna Lynn for the inspiration!! These are a few photos of what I've been up to ~

Love it all especially the fabric on the ironing board!! Makes you want to be in the room and create now doesn't it?! :)

Wow what a difference painting that cabinet made. I love all the covers too! I sure wish I had an extra bedroom to "create" in!
Isn't it amazing what a fresh coat of white paint does? It looks great!

LeAnn :)
OH MY WORD WHAT GOT INTO YOU MY BFF? Did you have two Starbuck's yesterday? I am blessed and honored that I inspired you with my shabby chic craft room re-do. (whew, that was a run on sentence!) That is what BFF's are for, you inspire me too! I am so thankful to God for you, I am able to share all my deepest thoughts on roses, glitter, fabric, design, magazines, movies etc. etc. etc.
You are the best!
With hugs and love,
Donna Lynn
Hello Victoria! I'm Holly and I'm a devotional blogger but I've been inspired by all the decorating blogs I've been finding lately!
Your sewing cabinet (the before) must be a cousin to much of my "furniture". Girl, you have given me hope! That's just an old particle board piece- right? If you have the time, I'd love to hear how you did it.
Even though I live in Virginia now, I am originally from Washington (The Enumclaw area) and my sister lives in Port Orchard! You possibly saw her around and about town. She's a massive stroke survivor and she walks all over the place. She can still out walk me any day!
Have a wonderful day, Victoria! I'm glad I found you!
