I found this ghastly 1950's footstool at Goodwill the other day. It had seen better days and was so outdated, but it had good bones. Also, the $4.99 price tag got me. I tore it apart, was a little creeped out by what I found for stuffing (that nasty excelsior straw) and went to town painting the legs and reupholstering!
A little black spray paint, some fabulous French looking fabric, and wah-lah! Isn't she gorgeous? My daughter quickly snatched it up and is happily resting her feet on it in her new apartment! Home sweet home.
Have a great weekend!
Hugs,
Victoria Lynn

It's amazing how a piece can look given a little loving care.
