A little weekend project...

Hope y'all had a relaxing and fun weekend. You may recall when last summer we redid Rachel's bedroom. (See her bedroom here and here ) We found the perfect chandelier, but it was too much at the time. Fast forward to May, and her birthday...guess what one of her gifts was? Yep, the much coveted chandelier. The poor little box has been sitting there for over a month now, just waiting for it's place in the pink boudoir! This weekend we made plans for the little beauty, here is the before ...(sorry, I meant to take a picture before we removed the offending light fixture!) And wa-laaa!! Every girl's dream, a sparkly pink and white petite chandelier. Here is the happy birthday girl modeling it...
And a closer look - crystals and light pink teardrops that sparkle and shine! Isn't it fabulous?!

Thanks to Rachel for being my handy assistant (and now she knows how to install a light fixture too!). Have a wonderful week!

Thank you for putting that baby up today--and of course for giving it to me in the first place! I'd say it's definitely the tiara of the room, wouldn't you?

Plus how can you go wrong with pink crystals?

First off, Happy Birthday to Rachel. I love the chandelier in her room. What a neat gift.
You hung that yourself? I wouldn't even know where to start.
From what I could see of her room, it looks really cute, the pink and the black.
I think Rachel looks a lot like you.

How pretty. I have never attempted to hang a light fixture - I am afraid of electrical projects. :-)
Happy Birthday to your daughter.

I am so glad I am able to visit you again. It's been awhile.

It's good to see your back and doing well.

I am so impressed because I can't wire a light fixture, that's amazing. I have watched my husband do it several times but I definitely think I would get my wires crossed...LOL! It looks so pretty in Rachel's room.

Thanks for your sweet comments and your support, I know who my friends are in blogland and you are certainly one of them.

I love the new chandy, fits the room to a "T"!! I noticed too that Rachel had on a shirt that matched her room, lovely!

Can't wait to see it in person...
