I'm A Pony Girl!

I’m not really sure why, but I’m a “Pony Girl”! I have loved these cars since I first laid eyes on one. I was 5 at the time. Most girls my age were dreaming of Barbies, dresses, shoes or pink rooms. Not me, I was dreaming of a Mustang! I have to say I have been blessed to own three of these babies in my lifetime. So in honor of my upcoming 50th birthday…this is what I would wish for when blowing out those 50 candles! Red, of course!

My first car I ever had was a mustang. I was 17 and bought it myself. My mom told me not to drive it until we got insurance on it.

She went out of town for the night. Of course I called up my friends and we all decided to go for a ride.

Well wouldn't you know it, I got in an accident! I was pulling out from a fast food place and a guy ran a red light.

Turned out he was an EMT who just came from speedway and he lied saying he had a green. Of course I got blamed.

Years later I was in college and I noticed a guy sitting in front of me that I could not place who he was but I knew I had seen and met him before. Well, 1/2 way through class it dawned on me it was the guy who I was in the accident with. I tapped his shoulder and told him who I was.

I said "Come on, be honest. Did you run the red light". He laughed and said Yes he did but he would never have admitted it or he would have lost his job because not only did he run a red light and cause an accident but he had been drinking.

Anyway, long story just to say Mustangs are not a good memory for me. LOL

But, I hope you get your wish!

Hugs,
Joanne

Sweet BFF,
Wish I could get you one of these when you come home, but I don't think it would fit into your suitcase, and the airlines would definitely say it was over limit!
Maybe when you catch a rich Franklin man he will buy you both of these, wouldn't that be a dream come true?

We are all here tonight playing with the new puppy, we can't keep our hands off of him! It will be fun for you to hold him and kiss his smashed face, he is a lovebug!
Talk to you soon,
XOXO

I remember the fast backs. I knew a guy that had one. He let me drive it on a country road and a went so fast he was begging me to slow down.

That's for the memories.

Ciao

So coincidental ! There is a bright yellow-orange Mustang on display at a dealership on my way to work. Sports cars have never appealed to me in my life...not even when I was 22. Ive always been a "farmers beat up pick up truck" type girl but I have ta tell ya...Ive been eyeing that Mustang up and actually said out loud to myself yesterday when driving by it..."Why Not?"...Im on the cusp of turning 50....must be a "thing"..huh?

Hi Victoria Lynn,
Is this a "hint" for someone? The birthday fairy, perhaps?

You'd get along great with my BFF, she wanted one so bad but ended up getting a truck to fit all her antiques in - hmmm, function or beauty?

Have a wonderful long weekend!

Hi Victotia. I only wished for a mustang. Later on I did buy a Transam and z28 to cruise around in. Sure had some fun driving them back when I was wild at heart!

I deleted two of my last posts because of weird comments. I get some of the strangest e-mails from annoymous bloggers actually demanding to know exactly where I live, shop and walk. I find that a bit strange. Always be careful blogging as you never know when someone wants information with ulterior motives.
Especially when they won't settle for a vicinity but want an exact address.

Go for it. My first car was a 1966 Oldsmobile cutlass convertible. Oh how I wish I still had that car. I say treat yourself, you only turn 50 once.
