Oh, La, La...A Pink Bedroom for Rachel!!!

Sugar and spice, and everything nice…that’s what little girls are made of! Someone forgot the pink!! Well here is the newly (almost) finished bedroom belonging to my big girl, Rachel. She wanted pink – for the first time in her life – with French accents. She had so much fun picking everything out! I made her duvet cover, dust ruffle, curtains and valance. We still are working on some throw pillows and have a chair to paint and recover, but we wanted to share what we had. She’s also eyeing a pretty chandelier at Lowe’s. I think it every girl should have a chandelier, don’t you?!

An antique desk painted black and a sign to remind her of her dreams when she’s working!

The sign under the kitty clock says “Fairy tales do come true”!

Breakfast At Tiffany’s, a black mirror and pink glass knobs!

A familiar cabinet with a new home! (see my post dated April 1 for the before/after pics of this cabinet)

An antique white mirror, vintage lamp with a fabulous new shade and a cute reproduction poodle!

Vintage white dresser with pink glass knobs, fleur de lis robe hook and stacking boxes with Paris scenes

New duvet cover made from vintage look black/pink damask print, dust ruffle and curtains are cream/pink/taupe gingham taffeta. She found the black Eiffel Tower lamp at Target!

New curtains and valance (they didn’t show up very well, I’m not very good with backlighting!)

Vintage white painted bed with her newly finished quilt (see my post dated March 5 for a picture of the quilt when I was just starting it)! I just finished painting my bedroom and will post pictures when I get it done. I wish you all a blessed week, hugs, Victoria Lynn

Dearest BFF!
This is the most amazing room ever, the PINK is over the top amazing! The French Quarter sign is just wonderfully fun, it was so much fun shopping at The Rusty Rooster for that sign! Should of gotten one for myself, maybe when I fly down in March for the Heart Of Country Antiques show!!!!!

Love the dust ruffle it looks like duponi silk huh??? Wow, good job on picking a wonderful pink paint color, gotta love a paint called PRINCESS!!

Kiss Rachel on the head from her other mommy!
XO,
Donna Lynn your BFF for life!

Nice job. I would want that room for myself. I like the black furniture with the pink, it's such a contrast and looks wonderful.

Your a good mom to make all the curtains, bedding, etc.....

Till next time.

Ciao

Love your ribbon collection and solution. If I ever get around to posting the photos from the Blue Water Yard Sale Trail last weekend, you'll be GREEN with envy when you see the big ol' box of ribbons I got!
