Wishing ya'll a very Happy 4th! Be safe and celebrate the birth of our Nation!
And the third, I couldn't resist using the pink ric-rac trim!
Rachel was given a promotion at work on Monday - Congratulations to her for all her hard work! Being her proud mama and all, I just couldn't help but give her these!
Pink roses for a pink girl! You should smell the roses! Amazing, since most roses are bred without any fragrance nowadays.
And wa-laaa!! Every girl's dream, a sparkly pink and white petite chandelier. Here is the happy birthday girl modeling it...
A cute little handbag made from some vintage barkcloth. I can't decide if I want to keep the lace or not!
My mom was here recently. She visited for 5 weeks! We had so much fun. She had never been to the South before. Here are pictures of our cruise on the General Jackson. It's a paddle wheel river boat. It was a three hour cruise with lunch and a show. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Nashville.
A touch of Spring on the deck...
My new awning, a new place for my fountain, and daylilies, not quite in bloom...
Before photo of the bed beside my stairs (UHG!!)...
And after! Boxwoods and roses all the way, baby!!
A close up of the Jackson & Perkins rose from Diana...
Before photo of the corner garden. Still digging up the sod in this pic!
And after! Three Queen Elizabeth roses and the clematis is just starting to climb the trellis. Next to the downspout is a canna. It is just coming up. I'll have to take another picture later in the season.
Hope ya'll had an UNEVENTFUL and SAFE weekend! I know that I much prefer quiet, calm weekends!
Hugs, Victoria Lynn
It's beginning to look a lot like Easter...
Bunnies by the front door...

Bunnies on the mantel...
Bunnies are everywhere!

Now I just need a quick trip to the candy store for chocolate bunnies, jelly beans and those malted eggs...then my life will be complete! (And Rachel, stay AWAY from the BUNNY EARS!)
We have been blessed with some beautiful warm and sunny days. I was very ready for a bit of Spring color in the garden, so off to the nursery I went! And came home with the back of my car full of plants and bulbs. This planter on my back deck is so pretty with the Rosemary, white snapdragons and lavender colored Johnny Jump-ups.
These narcissus bulbs just popped open as soon as I put them in the planter, also on my back deck.
My front entrance is ready to welcome Spring...
I made this wreath a couple of years ago, and it survived the trip in the moving van all the way to Tennessee! I love the hydrangeas, roses and eggs.
This urn has more narcissus, a pink hyacinth and Rosemary. It's being guarded by one of my many bunnies.
A sweet blue and white birdhouse, made by my BFF, Donna Lynn. I was so excited to find the yellow primrose, you see, they don't get primroses in the nurseries down here as early as they did back in WA. I was spoiled there, we used to see them around Valentine's Day! They are just now arriving in the stores here.
